What type of charger does my phone need?

Check your phone’s charging port. Most current Android phones and iPhone 15 or later use USB-C, so a USB-C charger supporting USB Power Delivery (PD) will charge them quickly. Older iPhones use a Lightning cable. A higher-wattage PD charger is safe because the phone only draws the power it supports.

Multi-port chargers

Chargers with several ports share their total wattage between devices. A 65 W charger might give 45 W to one port and 20 W to another when both are used.

Safety

Buy chargers with a UKCA or CE marking from reputable sellers. Avoid very cheap unbranded chargers, damaged cables, and charging under pillows or on soft furnishings.
